laggymclaginpants My good pal here has a good set of CHOONES going on in this EP. It really flows well all throughout and is a nice experience all around. It passes the VIBE CHECK. Favorite track: Roger [SM64 Cover].

Pala Hux One can hear the passion and time that went into this album. Groovy and moody beats meet experimentation and playfulness. An excellent introduction to his music!
PS. The cassette is gorgeous :3 Favorite track: Mandy Ross.

Tichounko This is a very important record about an artist finding themselves in vaporwave and future funk after groping in the dark of (I can only guess) more traditional genres.

A proof of the necessity of these new styles to exist and to showcase the musicality of people who might not be musicians in the most classical sense but have it in them nevertheless.

Wonderful album, great journey and an encouraging story of rebirh. I’m very happy for Sev encountering the right people and finding the own way Favorite track: Interstellar.

about

777 is just the first step in me achieving my lifelong dream of being a career musician. This album is the product of years of work, self-doubt, nearly giving up, and going back to the drawing board over and over. In December 2018, feeling discouraged about music and whether I would ever do anything with it, I was just about ready to finally quit for good. That is until my lifelong friend introduced me to George Clanton and vaporwave. That January I saw Clanton live in concert, a moment which was truly transformative for me. Seeing his energy on stage, and his passion for what he does re-invigorated my desire to produce music, and I made a promise to myself that 777 would become a reality.

This project will forever be near and dear to my heart even with all its imperfections. Each track on 777 has its own vibe, groove, and personality, but collectively represent who I am as a musician. Some tracks are dreamy and trance inducing while others hit you with all out funk, but an element of fun and experimentation remain constant throughout. I've always been a daydreamer. I constantly catch myself with my head in the clouds visualizing a better place where I've already achieved my wildest dreams. 777 paints a portrait of that place I go to in order to escape from the world; a simpler, carefree time that causes a feeling of nostalgia to wash over me.

My biggest fear has always been judgement from others. What if I released this album and everybody hates it? What would I do if my dream to make music was crushed before I really even had a chance to get started? Releasing this album not only released me from my self deprecating tendencies, but also helped me come to terms with anxiety and depression that has plagued me since my father passed away when I was a senior in high school. I am forever grateful to those who have listened, supported, and provided feedback, and I can never truly repay you for the confidence you have instilled in me.

There are several people I need to give thanks to. Without these people I never would be doing what I am able to now:

Thanks to my good friend Tomo for introducing me to music production

Thanks to Mikey I for introducing me to vaporwave, being there for me through my most troubled times, and always pushing me forward

Thanks to my friends Parker, Landon, and Emilio, three extremely creative individuals who inspire me to keep creating.
